Photography is more than simply recording a subject; it is also a process of choosing what and how to look at something. In particular, 'framing' and 'composition' are essential elements of photography that shape the way we perceive and understand a scene.
𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘦𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨: 𝘍𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘬𝘦𝘵𝘤𝘩 is a program that explores this photographic way of seeing through the analog practice of sketching. Participants will learn the basics of sketching through an understanding of framing and composition, while observing exhibition works and constructing scenes from their own perspectives.
In an environment where images are consumed rapidly, we hope this program offers a chance to slow down and practice 'how to see.' We look forward to your interest and participation.
