Museum Hanmi eagerly anticipates the emergence of new connections
with the artists who will share
their challenges and experiences with us.

Since 2015, through the MH Talent Portfolio program, Museum Hanmi has been seeking collaboration and interact with artists representing the Korean contemporary photography scene. As the first museum in Korea to specialize in photography, MH Talent Portfolio was planned to accompany the various experiments surrounding photography today. We hope that it will provide artists with a wider range of opportunities and practical assistance, rather than judging the superiority of their works. The program is focused on offering ongoing support and facilitating long-term partnerships with photographers, to promote mutual growth.

The program invites portfolios from artists in their 30s and 40s whose work is based in photography and covers a variety of subjects and formats. These portfolios will be carefully reviewed, and the reviewers will attend the artists' presentations. The review process brings together fellow artists, critics and curators for a multi-faceted discussion. Selected artists will be matched with the appropriate and timely program for their work and supported in various ways to expand their creative endeavors.

Out of the final selection of six artists, three will have the opportunity to present their developed works after the presentation and to hold a solo exhibition or a group exhibition with the Museum Hanmi. Another three artists will receive support for their participation in 'The Meeting Place', a portfolio review program of Houston FotoFest, through a partnership with Museum Hanmi. Through the program, Museum Hanmi aims to become a platform that serves as a facilitator for the artists to expand their international reach.
