For July's Culture Day, Museum Hanmi presents 𝘚𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘔𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘶𝘮 𝘊𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘮𝘢, a special film screening program.

In conjunction with the exhibition 𝙔𝙊𝙊𝙆 𝙈𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙜-𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙢·𝙃𝙊𝙉𝙂 𝙎𝙤𝙤𝙣-𝙩𝙖𝙞·𝙃𝘼𝙉 𝘾𝙝𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙠·𝙋𝘼𝙍𝙆 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜-𝙨𝙤𝙤𝙠, the program will feature a screening of 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙚 (dir. MIN Boung-hun, 2023).

𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙚 follows Siwoo, a young poet who writes poems as if speaking to his late mother, with whom he promised to meet again in heaven. Living each day with his father, who also directed the film, Siwoo discovers that poetry is not a way to forget loss, but a way to remember a loved one and continue living.

Although expressed through different mediums, the photographs in the exhibition and the poetry in 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙚 both preserve memory and convey emotion. We invite you to experience the exhibition and the film together, and discover how photography and cinema carry memory across time.
