Luigi Ghirri continued to write about photography even after becoming a photographer himself. Through sixty-nine essays and interviews, he left us a rich legacy of reflections on the medium and his deeply personal way of seeing the world.
Our exhibition tour program, 𝘓𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘓𝘶𝘪𝘨𝘪 𝘎𝘩𝘪𝘳𝘳𝘪 𝘛𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘌𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘴, invites you to engage with selected writings and interviews that open new paths into the works on view. Guided by an educator, participants will move through the exhibition alongside Ghirri’s own words, thoughtfully tracing his ideas about photography and the artistic universe he shaped.
By experiencing his texts and photographs together, we hope to offer a more layered and intimate understanding of Ghirri’s practice, an opportunity not only to see his images, but to share in his perspective and contemplations. We warmly invite your interest and participation.
