The June Culture Day program is organized in conjunction with the exhibition 𝙔𝙊𝙊𝙆 𝙈𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙜-𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙢·𝙃𝙊𝙉𝙂 𝙎𝙤𝙤𝙣-𝙩𝙖𝙞·𝙃𝘼𝙉 𝘾𝙝𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙠·𝙋𝘼𝙍𝙆 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜-𝙨𝙤𝙤𝙠. Photographers YOOK Myong-sim, HONG Soon-tai, HAN Chungshik, and PARK Young-sook have each documented and interpreted their times through distinct photographic practices. Beyond their photographic works, they have also contributed significantly to the discourse of Korean photography by articulating their thoughts and perspectives on the medium through writing.

𝘓𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘌𝘹𝘩𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘛𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘌𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘴 invites participants to experience the exhibition through the writings of these artists. Using audio receivers, participants will listen to excerpts from the artists’ texts along with exhibition commentary while viewing the works. Going beyond simply looking at photographs, this program offers an opportunity to explore the backgrounds behind the works and follow the artists’ reflections and creative processes, providing a richer and more immersive exhibition experience.
