About

Preserve to Advance

The logo is a wordmark that interprets a graphic motif connecting the past and the present, representing Museum Hanmi as it expands the values of proper preservation of cultural heritage for the future.

The wordmark has been newly designed with a form that emphasizes the contrast between horizontal and vertical strokes. The horizontal strokes symbolize a bridge that connects the past and the present.

English–Korean Signature

The English–Korean signature combines the English and Korean logotypes in an optimal proportion based on a consistent set of standards. The vertically stacked signature incorporates both the Korean and English versions of the Museum Hanmi logotype. It can be applied across a wide range of online and offline media, and is used for both internal and external events, as well as printed materials, where the simultaneous use of Korean and English is required.

Monogram

The monogram, created by combining the first two letters of the logotype, M and H, can be used in situations where space for the logo is limited and is also suitable for use as a social media icon. It has been designed to be adaptable for use in geometric patterns and expanded graphic applications.

When the monogram is not being used in space-constrained situations or as a social media icon, it is recommended to use it together with the primary logo. The monogram should not be used independently as a standalone logo.

Museum Hanmi Three Venues

Reflecting Museum Hanmi’s three-branch system—Museum Hanmi Samcheong, Museum Hanmi Bangi, and Museum Hanmi Gimpo—English signatures and vertically combined Korean–English signatures have been developed to represent each location. These can be applied across a wide range of online and offline media, and are used for both internal and external events, as well as printed materials, where the simultaneous use of Korean and English is required.
